Major Automotive manufacturer Client Situation: Despite a longstanding relationship with its agency of record, the client wished to conduct an agency review to determine whether it would benefit from a change in agency partner. In addition, the client wanted to determine if the current compensation system structure was the best solution for its needs. ABA Approach: We executed our proprietary six-step review process and evaluated a number of leading agencies before helping the client determine that its incumbent agency relationship was best left intact. We also performed a critical review of the incumbent agency's compensation structure and developed a new bottom up pro-forma compensation formula. Results: The review resulted in the further extension of the incumbent agency relationship. The revised compensation system also recognized substantial recurring cost-savings.
